Our inspiration: Tel'Drekus Young
The Tel'Drekus Young Foundation House is named in honor of Tel'Drekus D'Angelo Young, whose life story deeply impacted our mission. Tel'Drekus faced repeated incarceration from age 17 to 40, becoming involved with a gang early in life and remaining a member into adulthood. Tragically, when he sought to leave the gang life and build a productive future, he was murdered on August 4, 2024. His struggle and his desire for a better life are the driving force behind our commitment to preventing similar fates for others.
Creating positive change for youth and community
We believe in offering youth a viable alternative to a life of crime. Our work at The Tel'Drekus Young Foundation House aims to reconnect families, mend broken bonds, and provide the essential support youth need to succeed. By offering stable housing, life-skills coaching, and employment assistance, we contribute to a safer, stronger community by reducing recidivism and fostering productive citizens.
